Darren Criss Is NOT Harry Potter

I just want to say that your intentions are well put and I commend you for recognizing your ways are a bit harsh. (your insults are creative, I must admit.) I will be saying what people are saying over and over again. It boils down to respect, actually. You are entitled to your opinion the same way I am entitled with mine. It just makes the world a pretty interesting place to live in. And I do not go around hating you for having opinions and interests that is so different than mine. I would be mad if I am labeled as homophobe just because I do not like some pairings. I know for myself that I am not. At first, when I read the URL of your blog, I thought you are a hater of Darren Criss but I do not want to jump into conclusions so I decided to see for myself what the fuss is all about. I understand where you are coming from, and though I do not agree with the methods, I agree with you about the rabid fans/bullying/pack mentality you mentioned. I have the same things running in my mind and here you are, successfully fighting the bullies and converting people to see what you are seeing. I am not that obsessed with Darren Criss (I am with the whole AVPM/AVPS not just with him). I am one of his fans since A Very Potter Musical and glad that he got to Glee. I recognize his talent - his ability to make songs and play instruments because I consider myself as frustrated in those areas. I know I have ‘fangirl’ moments. I also have bully moments over Twilight because of number of reasons. I want to make this as short as possible but I do not think I can. Can I send you more messages regarding my opinion on this matter? Haters do not have grounds for hating you, I think. The more they send you hate spams/mails/posts, you are just proving how right you are. So until next time, then? (of course you can, I loved what you had to say!)

Whenever I talk negatively about Twilight, it's actually based on the book. I don't say anything like 'gay' or 'stupid', like most immature Potterheads do. I don't see the point of calling it gay, because literature doesn't have gender, right? The saga just wasn't my type. I don't spend my time on the internet bashing Twilight, otherwise I would be remembered as some hateful, pessimistic, negative person.

Eh well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

I hope you sent me this. Because if not, well then I'll feel really stupid.

I'm not going to deny that I'm guilt-free of bashing other fandoms. I've come to a few blows with Twilight, which makes me no better than anyone else. My bashing, however, has always been textually (is that even a word) based. In fact, the last argument I got in over Twilight had to do with a photo of Hermione and Bella comparing the two in how they reacted when the love of their lives left. I would NEVER make fun of someone because they like Twilight, but on the other hand I will not hesitate to tell them why I don't like Twilight.

Anyway, I'm glad everything has somewhat calmed down for you. You're very right that people don't hesitate to crap all over other peoples' fandoms, but are so quick to take up arms when someone fights back. People are so quick to forget that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone likes the same things. It would be such a boring world if we all had the same interests.
